Solo (Guitar : Solo)
Solo (the free version goes by “Guitar : Solo Lite”) is a well-designed guitar app for the Droid Incredible and Android. It comes with full multi-touch capabilities, letting you play complex chords by holding down the virtual strings. The app comes with the ability to switch between acoustic, electric, or classical guitars. Solo also has a huge library of chords and diagrams designed to assist beginners. The app is particularly useful for songwriters and for generating off-the-cuff riffs before playing them on the real thing.
The interface is very thoughtfully designed and Solo is definitely one of the better designed Droid Incredible apps out there. The strings and pads are very realistic. The sound quality, however, is not perfect and more could be done to improve how close it sounds to a real guitar. In all other respects this is a high-quality guitar app for the Droid Incredible, and easily blows the rest of the competition out of the water when it comes to the chord library and interface. A must-have app for guitar enthusiasts and songwriters.
