Shazam can listen to a song playing in your environment, be it a bar, cafe, or restaurant, and identify the track playing. Let’s say you’re at a cafe and a certain song you like starts playing. All you have to do is pull out your Droid Incredible and launch Shazam. Shazam will take a few moments to listen to the track and process it. It’ll then spit out the artist and song, let you store it and even purchase it later. It works amazingly well, with a minuscule error rate – you can be very sure that Shazam has correctly identified the song. This app is also very useful to impress friends with.
Shazam also pulls up album art for the songs it finds. The interface is obviously very simple. The process of making the app listen to a song is started by the “tag now” option. Launch the app, hit “tag now”, and you’re ready to go. You can also browse a history of your “tags” by tapping the “my tags” button. This’ll pull up your previously marked songs with an option to purchase them via Amazon mp3. Overall, this is a magical and complete app that’ll come in useful again and again on your Droid Incredible.
