Loopt is a social-networking service targeted at mobile users. Loopt on your Droid Incredible lets you stay in touch with friends (who need to be using Loopt as well) and see their current location and instantly share images, restaurants and hangouts, as well as comments and ratings for different places. Registering via the website first is a good idea since the in-app process seems to be a tad buggy at present. If you’re constantly on the go and like to discover new places, this is the app for you.
Loopt lets you see where your friends are located at any given time. This can be quite useful if you have time to kill and want to discover who you can meet-up close to your current location. It’s also very useful if you organize a gathering of multiple friends and you want to coordinate timing and arrival for specific events. The service hasn’t quite taken-off enough to certainly find your existing friends on Loopt – so you’ll probably need them to signup before you start using.
