The interface is very clever and may take a bit of using before you are totally comfortable with it. While a lot of information is presented on the screen, you can swipe a vertical “window” that zooms in on your data based on what’s underneath it on the homescreen. You can even interact with your information via this interface, or tap into the relevant app to do more in-depth stuff. There are a host of little tips and tricks you can use to get more out of SlideScreen. And while the app does slow down the launch of the homescreen a little bit, it’s well worth the wait. Overall, this is an innovative approach to managing the increasing deluge of information we are all subscribed to, and the app will improve your experience on the Droid Incredible.

This app was one of the top productivity apps in the Android Developer Challenge 2 competition, and with good reason. The interface is very easy and straightforward and creating new bubbles with ideas or removing existing ones takes just a single tap. The app’s strength lies in its simplicity – letting the user work with a blank canvass and getting out of the way in all other respects. The uncluttered interface and the focus on the main features has made this app focussed and very valuable for knowledge workers and creative types. Thinking Space is a wonderful portable mind-mapping for the Droid Incredible and Android.

The search feature is fast and useful. It searches across all your tags as well as the contents of your text notes. The Audio recorder works well and maintains clarity even with a bit of background noise. Evernote is also pretty fast – an important quality in an app designed to jot down ideas in. It’s only a couple of taps to open a new note. It’s also easy to share notes via email or the online interface – very useful at the end of brainstorming sessions. A perfect app for idea-people and generalists who like to make connections between disparate concepts and ideas.

Mapping is included in the app, so it covers all your needs for a good night out. Zagat is based on a survey of thousands of diners over the years, and puts forth a very good representation of the quality of each establishment. The survey grades each restaurant on a 30-point scale and covers the ambiance, quality of service, and cost in addition to the quality of the food served. The interface is simple and elegant with all the important elements nicely highlighted for easy scanning and decision making. An excellent Droid Incredible app for those who like to use a trusted resource before committing time to any business.

The app also does image and story previews, just like the main website, but it doesn’t quite work as well because the thumbnails are just too small to make sense. The app is open source, and there are a few copies floating around the Android Market. This is the original and the developer remains very responsive to reddit API changes and updates. All in all, this is a very good interface into reddit and the app works very well on the Droid Incredible.

Now for the cool features. First, there’s something called Amazon Remembers which is basically a wish-list of sorts, except that you don’t share it with others. The advantage with this is that you can track items and associated price changes and discounts very easily. So if there’s a shiny new gadget that’s a little too expensive for your budget right now, you can just leave it Amazon Remembers and it’ll keep you updated on price drops and deals. The other cool feature is the ability to simply take a photo of an object and have the app pull up the item on Amazon.com. So if you see a book jacket, a photo of the cover is enough for Amazon to pull up the right book. An excellent shopping app for your Droid Incredible.

The interface is straightforward and a little plain, but very functional. Updating accounts can take a while. The financial services are pretty comprehensive and this app can easily replace other mobile banking apps, though you won’t budget tracking or spending charts anywhere in the app. You’ll have to judge the other services, such as the Netflix queue integration, on their own merits, based on how often you use them, if you use them at all. An excellent Droid Incredible app for financial and travel planning, with a few bonuses tossed on for good measure.

It is faster than the other Twitter apps on the Android Market, though most of the features are equally quick on the previously reviewed Twidroid application. It isn’t as customizable as many people would have liked, and there are some missing features, including not being able to re-tweet from lists and trending. No doubt these will be taken care of with subsequent updates. Overall, you may be pleasantly surprised if you replace your existing favorite Twitter app with this one.

The interface is dead simple to use – it’s basically a list of your files, after all. The app makes it easy to share photos and files with your friends and family. When you want to share a file, it’ll create a link to the file via its online service and you can then share the link and let people download the file. Uploading can be a little slow for larger files such as PDFs or high-resolution image files, but that’s really not the app’s fault. You can manually refresh the contents to see any changes applied. An excellent Droid app that will leave help you access all your important files from anywhere.

You can create any number of these “situations” when you want Locale to kick-in and change settings for you. You can have it modify your wallpaper, ringer, timeout interval, WI-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth settings and much more. There’s a whole community of plugins available on the Android Market that’ll hook into Locale and let you change almost anything on your phone, right down to email management.
